Mrs. Larson's Project
The 1930's: A 20,000 Word Essay

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in studying the decade of the 30’s such a statements holds true.  The tremendous toll the Great Depression took on our nation was captured in an unprecedented way through the talents of photographers, artists, cartoonists, writers, poets, songwriters, musicians, and filmmakers.  As we study the causes and effects of the Great Depression through the lenses, pencils, and brushes of those who lived it, we hope to gather a greater understanding of its impact on the people, government, physical environment, and future of the United States.
