Chronology of San Francisco Rock 1965-1969
San francisco was a major center of Rock music in the Sixties. Many of the popular bands lived there (Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, etc.) Many other groups and performers came to perform at the top venues: Fillmore Auditorium, Winterland, and the Avalon Ballroom, plus a number of other clubs and halls.
