    Association of Religion Data Archives
    This project provides data on American religion, and includes data on churches and church membership, religious professionals, and religious groups (individuals, congregations and denominations).

    Faiths and Their Practices
    Yahoo offers links to pages related to many religious denominations and sects of the world. Explore them to find out about the beliefs and ways of various religions.

    freedomforum.org: First Amendment Center
    Information provided here covers issues related to the guarantee of freedom of religion in the U.S. Constitution. News, commentary, analysis and other information on the First Amendment is available here.

    The Bible Gateway
    This is "a tool for reading scripture online. Additionally, it provides advanced searching capabilities, allowing readers to find particular passages in scripture, based on keywords." Many translation versions are available, in different languages. May be searched for key words.

    Christian Classics Ethereal Library Reference Room
    Full text of the well known writing of the Christian Religion. Some audio versions are included as well as the texts.

    The Chinese Classics

    E-texts of 17th & 18th Century Philosophers
    A period when many of the ideas behind the American democracy were being formed and explored. These links will lead you to many of the works of philosophers whose influence is felt in the U.S. even today.
